Fortunately, with the help of Hijack This, which can be downloaded from Download This, the problem was solved. Actually, my problem was that I could not access Google at all, not nohow. Ken has been working on the problem off and on for days, and finally found the smoking gun, all pointing to an IP that now appears to be defunct.
